How I would say it:
I am not a trained financial professional. I have never been a trained financial professional. I’ve never worked in a financial firm, or a bank, or even as a cashier at a grocery store. I am not a personal finance expert. I am but a lowly nerd who likes to read and teach and thinks personal finance is important.
The information you see posted on this blog is a combination of my research, my experience, and my opinion. It is not professional financial investment advice. The ideas I present should never be used without considering them in the larger context of your own financial situation. If you need professional investment help, I recommend locating a highly rated fee-only financial advisor, ideally a fiduciary.
From time to time, I may miss something in my research. I may get something wrong. I may even present an opinion you disagree with. That’s okay. Please remember this is a blog, and you do not need to agree with every word I write. I welcome comments, questions, and feedback in the comments section of my blog entries, but reserve the right to delete any comment, at any time, for any reason. Please keep the comments polite. I know it’s the internet, but we can all try to be better humans.
